inspire connection. “A Partnership with Business and Community.”
Living in our community, we all know what it is like to get stuck at the railroad crossing waiting for a train or behind farm equipment on a country road.
In either scenario it may be a burden for us, but it is positive economic impact for our region. Realizing that rail transport and agriculture is a major part of our community thriving.
As the Chamber of Commerce, it is our mission to inspire the community and businesses to connect. It is a partnership. The businesses need resources from the community and the community needs services and products offered by the business.
The number one business need - or resource - is workforce, so we are now focusing on the needs of the people.
What is it that people want?
We all want “quality of life.”
“Quality of life” may mean different things to different people, but most metrics include health and wellbeing, civic activities and engagement, personal development and education, and on every list is recreation or “things to do.”
In the past few years, we have seen an increase in new businesses adding quality of life services throughout our communities and we have highlighted most of the recreation opportunities in this publication.
For us to continue to improve our quality of life, we need to realize what we already have and then continue to make our community successful by connecting with each other.
We know when we work together, we have an increased chance of community success!
When the community is successful, then more people and businesses want to be a part of that community.
