Having found success as a home-based business with a dedicated following, C’s Sweets Specialty Cupcake Bakery LLC is looking to go bigger in the coming years.
Owner and baker Christina Snyder said much of her business is found through Facebook, where her business’s journey began in the early 2010s, but added that she has since grown into participating in vendor events and catering weddings.
“I do have a website that I use to reach a larger area, but I would say 85-to-90 percent of the advertising I do is on Facebook,” said Synder, a Centralia native. “I take a lot of orders on Facebook. That’s where most people will call or message me.”
Speaking on her menu, Snyder said, “We have cake pops, cupcakes, regular cookies and cut-out sugar cookies and macarons. We also of course do wedding cakes. I strictly use butter cream, though. A lot of bakeries use royal icing, but I stick to butter cream.”
The passionate baker said that once she fully retires, she hopes to operate C’s Sweets full-time, adding that a new location for the business has already been purchased in Centralia.
Snyder said once the new location is up and running, she would like to expand her menu.
“I would love to grow into having bakery items people could just come in and buy off the shelf or to-go,” she said. “I’d like to have muffins, cinnamon rolls, breads, cake-by-the-slice – all of the things you would typically see in a bakery.”
Snyder said the new location will include a drive-thru and be kitchen and storefront only. Though no solid opening date has currently been set, she said she hopes to have the new location operational before the end of 2026.
In the meantime, Snyder said she will continue taking orders through her online platforms, catering events, and enhancing the reach of her homegrown business.
“This is a passion for me. Baking is something I have always enjoyed,” said Synder. “It is just something I always look forward to. Every time you make something that pleases a customer, it’s feels like a success. It makes you feel good.”
