Centralia Business and Professional Women, Inc. – Women Helping Women
Centralia Business and Professional Women (BPW) is proud to announce that monetary donations to various local groups were recently made from the proceeds of the Trivia Night fundraiser held in January. Giving back to our community with volunteerism and monetary donations puts a smile on the face of every BPW member.
Centralia BPW made donations to Mission Centralia, which builds wheelchair rams and handrails for people in need in the Centralia High School District; Home to School Connection, a resource for families that have students enrolled in Centralia City Schools and ensures needs are met for a successful school year; SAFE, a non-profit sexual assault center that provides free services to victims of sexual assault/abuse and their non-offending family members by offering medical/legal advocacy, family, group and individual counseling and prevention education; Centralia Community Youth Center (CCYC), an amazing resource and safe place for our youth, offering after school tutoring, sports and various other programs; Carrie Leigh’s, which provides children with free art programs at local festivals and other locations; Centralia High School Band, which has participated in many concerts, and marched in parades and competitions bringing home lots of sought after trophies; Centralia Regional Library, which offers many free programs for the community with activities for children and adults, as well as Wi-Fi at all times and are a host for a Centralia Little Food Pantry; New Horizon Christian School Robotics Club, which encourages 5th-8th students to learn more about science technology, engineering and math.
