BALLOON FEST STEERING COMMITTE HOLDS FIRST MEETING OF 2025
The Centralia Balloon Fest Steering Committee held its first meeting of the year in anticipation of the storied event’s 36th outing.
The meeting was held at 5:30 PM in the conference room of the Centralia Chamber of Commerce, and was led by this year’s Balloon Fest Chairperson, Galen Mahle.
The evening saw preliminary reports from the participating sub-committees, which revealed that over half of the craft vendors and pilots in this year’s event have been acquired. Applications for vendor space are still open, and the selection process is ongoing.
Speaking to the committee members in attendance, Chamber Director Marcus Holland wished to express that it’s their hard work that makes the Balloon Fest a success each and every year.
“Without each of your committees, a piece of Balloon Fest falls apart,” Holland said. “The things that we have had to fix over the years keep getting better, and we appreciate all of you. We couldn’t do this without you.”
This year’s Balloon Fest will be held Friday, Aug. 15 through Sunday, Aug 17 in Foundation Park.
