Foundation Church has partnered with two Greenville-based organizations to provide free, licensed counseling and trauma-based services to the region.
“We are working with Eden’s Glory, and they have a sub-group called Foster Kairos, which provides trauma-informed, licensed counseling services to kids and their caregivers,” said Andy Davis of Foundation Church. “These services are for individuals that are vulnerable to sexual trauma as well as other types of traumas.”
Davis said the church began hosting the services at the start of 2026 and have hopes of expanding the operation in the future to better satisfy the need.
“We’ve been doing this for three of four months now. We have two children that we have been seeing, and we have a counselor that comes out from Greenville one day a week,” said Davis. “We’d love to be able to fill the space. We have dedicated an entire wing of the church to this, and we would like to outgrow that. There are so many kids in the tri-county area that need help, and we know that.”
Davis also noted that Eden’s Glory provides therapy and rescue homes for victims of human trafficking, helping with rehabilitation and recovery.
“The important thing is that the services are free. All of these services are grant funded, either by personal grants or city-or-state-funded grants,” said Davis. “It’s free to the individual and to the family. The trauma informed licensed counselors provide free services to the kids and their families. And that’s happening here, right now. That’s huge.”
Davis said Foundation Church and the pair of organizations are currently working to ensure those within the region know these services are being offered at the church.
“We want to spread the word in our area and in the tri-county area,” Davis said. “We want everyone to know that these services are here in Centralia.”
Foster Kairos presented this week at the Centralia Chamber of Commerce Monthly Luncheon on Wednesday, April 15 at Simply Soul Restaurant.
