CHAMBER RECOGNIZES “PARTNERS IN PROGRESS” AT ANNUAL BANQUET
Chamber director Marcus Holland acknowledged three businesses as “Partners in Progress” during the Celebrate Progress - Chamber Annual Banquet, for their outstanding contributions to the community at large.
Those recognized were Heather Day, owner of Colonial Golf Course; Travis Etheridge, co-owner of The Insurance Alliance and owner of Hank’s Lounge and Jack’s - Let’s Play; and Bradford National Bank.
Introduction Day to the stage first, Holland said, "The Days are getting the award for continually improving Colonial Golf Course. Each year it looks better and better, and it’s a fun course to play. She has also streamlined the process for organizations like ours that host tournaments there. Heather also gives her time to the community through several boards and committees. She supports several organizations, including Balloon Fest, and recently they purchased Mine Shack (now Mae Day’s Gaming) in Sandoval.”
Etheridge was awarded next, with Holland advising those in attendance that the business owner had served on the Chamber’s board of directors for a total of six years and was a past president of the organization.
“Travis is the co-owner of The Insurance Alliance with Jason Cass. They have been sponsors of Balloon Fest for many years and have also made several significant donations to many non-profit insitutions in our community. Travis opened Hank’s Lounge in Central City, and we were happy to have a recent ribbon cutting at Jack’s - Let’s Play.”
Third to the stage was Bradford National Bank, which was recognized for its heavy activity in the community, helping to bring businesses and organizations together. Most recently, Bradford was one of the businesses which assisted with the building of the new Byrd Watson location on W. McCord.
“Obviously, Bradford merged with Community Trust Bank, so they have already invested in our community in Centralia, Irvington and Nashville. They immediataely and actively started working with businesses and supporting organizations and entrepreneurs and have facilitated several new business openings in our community. So, thank you to the team at Bradford National Bank for your ongoing support and being a Partner in Progress.”
Holland noted that each of the individuals and businesses honored this year as “Partners in Progress” operate in different parts of the Greater Centralia Area - being Centralia, Irvington, Nashville, Central City and Sandoval - thus emphasizing the size of our greater community.
