Having served with the company as part-time employee and later assistant manager over an eight-year period, Casey Bonner has now stepped into the role of manager at Sherwin Williams.

Bonner replaced former manager, Joe Ray, on March 3, 2025, who retired from the company after 41 years.

Though only a few months in as store manager, Bonner said she already has plans for the future of Sherwin Williams.

“We’re really looking grow more. One thing we hear is that a lot of regular homeowners don’t know that we’re here,” said Bonner. “So, we’d like to get out in the town and also be more of a part of it.”

Bonner said she and her four-person staff, which includes new assistant manager, Antonio Crossland, have already give their 230 S. Locust location a fresh coat of paint.

“We’ve been trying to freshen up the store a little,” Bonner said. “We’ve been repainting here, and we’ve really tried to bring a whole new light to the store.”

Bonner spoke highly of her business’s products, saying she hopes to one day see it represented throughout the entire city of Centralia.

“We are hoping to paint the whole city, and we want Sherwin Williams to be everywhere and in everyone’s homes,” said Bonner. “We provide some of the most premium products. We offer thousands of colors. We do walls, decks, concrete, and we sell coatings for floors. If anyone wants their garage floor done, we can help with that.”

“We get a lot of contractors in here that work throughout the city, so we get to see what a lot of other people’s homes look like,” Bonner continued. “We can also help with home projects. It’s very rewarding.”

Bonner said the Sherwin Williams store is one of thousands throughout the country, with stores reaching as far as Alaska and Puerto Rico.
