United Way Participates in “Give Like Dolly Day”
Give Like Dolly, change a child’s day
On September 25—9/25—United Way of South Central Illinois will participate in the first annual Give Like Dolly Day, and we would love for you to join us!
We’re putting a special “9 to 5” spin on the campaign and challenging our community to give $16, which covers our local share of providing one child with an entire year of books through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
Our goal is to raise $3,200 and sponsor 200 local children.
Help us turn Facebook pink!
We’ve attached a special “I’m Giving Like Dolly” temporary profile picture. Beginning September 21, we’re asking supporters to use it as their Facebook profile picture through September 25.
To participate:
Save the attached image.
Upload it as your Facebook profile picture.
Select “Make Temporary” and choose one week.
Add our donation link to the photo description.
Invite your friends and “9 to 5” coworkers to join you.
You can also help by:
Donating $16—or sponsoring several children
Sharing our Facebook campaign
Challenging another person or business to participate
Asking employees to each sponsor a child
