Volunteer Susie Robbins Recognized with Top Award at Balloon Fest Breakfast

Congratulations to Susie Robins for winning the High Fly Cup this morning at the American Legion Pilot Breakfast.

The High Fly Cup is an annual award presented at Centralia Balloon Fest in honor of a very special pilot, Wes Rinker, and his baseball balloon, "High Fly".

It recognizes balloonist who, from their unselfish deeds and caring actions, are truly high flying ambassadors of ballooning and ambassadors of life. From the smiles they put on children's faces, to the memories they create, they make a difference.

Susie has worked the First Aid tent for over 30 years at Balloon Fest. She is always willing to help balloon crew, she takes care of those in need at the park, always willing to lend a helping hand, she volunteers for numerous nonprofits, and recently started The Nurse Honor Guard, an organization that represents nurses at their memorial services.

Susie is at the park this Balloon Fest Sunday, fitting children in new bicycle helmets for free. If you see her, please give her a thank you! She truly goes above and beyond in all aspect of life, thank you Susie!
