Globetrotter Mural Project for Laura Leake Park

Dear community member,

We are working on an opportunity to inspire future athletes and foster connection by celebrating our community culture and history! This mural project will take place in the spring of 2026 and we need your help.

Already approved by the City of Centralia, the mural will be painted on all four sides of the utility building next to the basketball court in Laura Leake Park featuring 5 Centralia High School basketball greats who played with the Harlem Globetrotters.

The Greater Centralia Chamber of Commerce Image Committee will complete this project in partnership with the City of Centralia, the Juneteenth Committee, Centralia Area Historical Museum, and artist Jamie Allen, Studio Bee.

We also ask you to be a part of this project by donating $1,000 or more, and your name will be added to the mural thank you wall. Additional proceeds from this mural will go toward future community projects and events.

Donations may be made to the Centralia Chamber of Commerce 501(c)6 as a business expense or Centralia Juneteenth Committee 501(c)3 for charitable tax purposes.
