A childhood interest in coin collecting grew into a lasting family business for Blake Griffin. Centralia Coin, Stamp, Etc., located at 528 West McCord Street in Centralia, Illinois, has served collectors and customers since 1989.
Founded by Blake and his late father, Dan Griffin, the shop grew from their shared enthusiasm for coins. Blake learned the hobby while accompanying his father to coin shows, building the knowledge that would become central to their business.
Today, collectible coins, rare paper money, gold, and silver remain part of the shop’s focus. In a previous Chamber interview, Blake described precious metals as a growing part of the business while emphasizing that coins remain his personal passion.
For collectors and customers interested in its offerings, it provides a local connection to a specialized hobby and trade.
