Child Advocacy Services in Centralia and Mt. Vernon: The Amy Schulz Child Advocacy Center
Children and families affected by abuse need access to support, information, and people who can help them navigate what comes next. The Amy Schulz Child Advocacy Center provides advocacy, coordinated services, and prevention education in Southern Illinois.
With a main office in Mt. Vernon and a satellite office in Centralia, the nonprofit works with child clients and their non-offending family members. Its services include child and family advocacy, forensic interviews, investigation coordination, criminal court support, and referrals for additional resources.
The center’s advocates support families throughout a case, helping them understand the process and connect with services. The organization states that its services and referred resources are provided at no cost to its clients.
Prevention is also part of its work. The center offers school-based education within its coverage area to help students recognize and respond to abuse.
The Centralia satellite office is located at 1231 West Broadway, Suite 2. To learn about services, educational programs, or ways to support the organization, visit amycenter.org or call 618-244-2100. Please call ahead before visiting.
