The Commonwealth, in partnership with the Centralia Chamber of Commerce, hosted a ribbon cutting Thursday in celebration of its now-completed second-floor apartments.
Applications for apartment rentals may be found at https://www.centraliacommonwealth.com/.
The ribbon cutting, attended by chamber members and friends and family of Commonwealth co-owners, Tyler, Tara and Mike Fleeman, also included an open house, giving attendees a firsthand look at the impressive apartments.
“[The apartments] are all really different, which is nice,” said Tyler Fleeman, who also serves as manager of The Commonwealth. “We have three two-bedroom apartments that are very, very spacious and modern. Then, we have two single bedrooms that [offer] premium views from the front of the building out over Carillon Park.”
Tyler thanked Holmes Construction in Centralia for their year of continued work on the apartments, insisting the finished product was more than he could have ever hoped for.
“The apartments turned out ten times better than what I could have even imagined,” he said. “It’s far exceeded my expectations.”
The completion of the apartments marks the end of Phase 2 for The Commonwealth project. Phase 1 involved the renovations of the building’s four retail spaces, while Phase 3 will be the upcoming renovation and reintroduction of the historic Green Grill Restaurant.
“This feels great. It feels like the finish line is right there,” said Tyler, added that he would soon be hard at work back to work on the Green Grill restoration, expected to take one year’s time.
