Greenview Golf Course has announced its partnership with golf course maintenance outfit, Turf Guru, for both daily maintenance and restoration of the course.

Greenview owner, Steve Whritenour, said the golf course has entered into a three-year deal with Turf Guru which includes nearly $1 million in improvements.

“We have made a commitment with Turf Guru over the next three years to make an investment of nearly $1 million restoring Greenview,” said Whritenour. “This is going to be overall course improvement, tee boxes, fairways, greens. This is a beautification process, and it’s about restoring the course to its old glory.”

Whritenour added that the restoration process will be incremental, with improvements expected to take places throughout the course of the contract.

“This kind of restoration process doesn’t happen overnight,” he said. “There will be a lot of improvements that are going to happen over the next three years.”

Greenview hosted a membership drive this last Saturday, where Turf Guru ownership discussed their plans for both the daily maintenance of the golf course and the ongoing restoration at Greenview.

Whritenour, who purchased Greenview in 2014, has previously overseen improvements and additions to the golf course, including an extensive renovation and addition in 2015 and the creation of the 3600-square-foot McKenna Hall in 2018.
