Since the fall of 2016, Carlyle Hearing Center, LLC has made its name by providing quality hearing aid services and products to people throughout the region.
Founded by owner and audiologist, Becky Donnelly, the clinic has become a go-to for patients as far out as Perryville.
“Our services essentially involved hearing aids and testing. We do ear cleanings, too, as long as there are no indications to any kind of pathology,” Donnelly explained. “We really try to help as many people here as possible. I know service is a very important part of any practice, and I like to think we take that to the next level.”
Carlyle Hearing Center is also prided for its quality service to our Veterans, with Donnelly noting that the clinic can help eliminate the time they have to spend on waiting lists.
“We do support our Veterans. We see Veterans for compensation and pension evaluations,” said Donnelly. “When they need an evaluation, it can be hard to come by. The waiting list is quite long, and I think they appreciate providers that are willing to see them quickly.”
Donnelly said the clinic takes extra steps in measuring the patient’s hearing needs in order to equip them with the best possible device.
“Hearing aids can be priced all over the place, so we want to make sure that the price is worth it for the person,” said Donnelly. “We follow what is called Best Practices with our ear measurements. We put a tube in the ear, and we watch how the hearing aid is responding with that person’s ear.”
While currently the only provider at Carlyle Hearing Center, Donnelly said she wouldn’t be opposed to growing the operation when the time is right.
“We could be adding another provider at some point, but nothing in the foreseeable future,” she said. “I have also considered opening another office, but we stay so busy here it’s hard to open another place before we talk on a second provider. Right now, we’re staying put.”
A Tulsa native who went on to study and Arkansas and Georgia before relocating to Illinois, Donnelly said she originally began practicing in area hospitals but ultimately chose to open to her own practice in the community she calls home.
“We moved here 20 years ago, and just fell in love with the lake and how pretty it is here,” said Donnelly. “It’s been really good. The small-town life has definitely agreed with us.”
