MACZS DONATE TO DREAM CENTER AT “LOVE OUR COMMUNITY” BANQUET

While being recognized as 2025 Partners in Progress at the “Love Our Community” Annual Chamber Banquet, Tom and Traci Macz of Macz Funeral Homes used the opportunity to publicly donate $1,000 to the Dream Center of Southern Illinois.

Speaking on the recognition and subsequent donation, Macz Funeral Homes made the following statement:

“The members of Team Macz would like to take this moment in time to express our gratitude to our own, Tom and Traci Macz. We were reminded Thursday evening, at The Greater Centralia Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet of Tom and Traci’s heart for serving people. Each of us, be it family, church family, friends who are like family, work family, or the families of those who experience their compassionate guidance during the time of loss, all truly know what a blessing they bring to our lives.

The Chamber ‘s banquet was fittingly themed, “Love Our Community” and it was no surprise to us that the Chamber wanted to highlight the love that Tom and Traci pour out to the communities they serve in Centralia, Patoka, Sandoval and Odin. A love that is evident in the way they run their business as their ministry. Their expressions of sympathy are genuine, and it is of the utmost importance to them, that on the day of a celebration of life service, the memory for those mourning is one of honor, love, and peace.

Tom and Traci were presented with the Chamber’s Partner in Progress Award, recognizing, with appreciation, their significant investment and development in the greater Centralia area. Traci’s eloquent acceptance speech touched the hearts of all in attendance as she shared the threads of love that linked them to this community. Humbly willing to share the spotlight, Tom and Traci displayed another way they love on their community by presenting City Hope Church’s Dream Center with a check for $1,000 from the casket company they partner with, Matthews Aurora.

The Matthews Children’s Foundation was established in 1992 to disburse funds to nonprofit organizations that work for the benefit of children. Traci explained how any 501(c)3 organization whose activities are directed towards the welfare and benefit of children are eligible to apply for this grant and to contact the funeral home for information on how to apply.

Team Macz sends a heartfelt thank you to all at The Greater Centralia Chamber of Commerce for publicly recognizing what we see every day, the plethora of ways Tom and Traci Macz “Love Our Community”.
