INTERMOUNTAIN ELECTRONICS HOSTS CHAMBER LUNCH

Intermountain Electroncis hosted and sponsored the September luncheon of the Centralia Chamber of Commerce.

Catered by Taco Jo’s, the event saw members of IE present on the origins and growth of the manufacturing company, field questions from the chamber members in attendance, and offer tours of the facility.

General manager, Tim Benedict, who was joined by HR manager, Brenda Malone, and manufacturing manager, Kenny Hug, explained IE makes power distribution equipment for data centers for a variety of different projects, including various mining operations, gas and oil pipelines, renewable energy, and more.

Benedict said IE has seen continual growth since it arrived in Centralia 13 years ago and shows no signs of slowing down.

“We’ve got a great future. We are booked out right now until the end of 2026. We’re booked solid,” Benedict said. “We are looking to expand [the facility] by the end of the next year. It’s a pretty exciting time.”

IE is also expecting to expand their workforce.

Beginning with 12 employees, IE is now up to 107, with several more positions in the areas of fabrication, industrial painting, mechanical assembly and electrical expected to be filled over the next year.

According to Benedict, roughly 40 members of IE’s staff were hired locally.
