EFI SOLUTIONS MERGES INTERNATIONAL REACH WITH SMALL TOWN SPIRIT

EFI Solutions has been a force in the world of water distribution equipment for over sixty years, as well as a major benefit to the Centralia community.

Michael English, executive vice president of EFI Solutions, said his company may not be the first to seek out the spotlight, but insisted big things have been happening since EFI decided to locate in Centralia almost 60 years ago.

“We have experienced a lot of growth here,” said English. “When I started in 1995, our annual sales were at $8 million. Last year we were $53 million.”

Founded in 1964, EFI currently operates out of two locations: its initial space at 1221 N. Elm St., and a second facility in Centralia’s industrial park.

English said EFI currently manufactures water pump stations, meter stations, control valve stations, and water treatment plants, adding that the company will assist the City of Centralia this fall with the installation of its new water treatment plant.

“All of the manufacturing and engineering is done in Centralia, and then everything is shipped all over the country,” English explained. “We do have one installation overseas in Saudi Arabia, but it’s all mostly here in the continental U.S. and Canada.”

EFI also provides a number of jobs to the greater Centralia area, with English saying the company currently has 142 employees, many of which are long term.

“Our average seniority is seventeen years,” he said. “So, that tells you once people start here, they typically like to stay.”

In addition, EFI contributes to community events as well, such as partnering with the Centralia Chamber of Commerce on the annual Balloon Fest.

Between the crucial products it manufactures, the immense reach it possesses, and the high volume of jobs it produces in the area, EFI Solutions is a longstanding champion of local industry and a highlight of what the Centralia community has to offer.
