COUNTRY BOB’S INTRODUCES 4 NEW SAUCES

Though Country Bob’s has made its name on its renowned All Purpose Sauce, owners Albert Malekovic and Caleb and Nate Edson have no intention of getting comfortable.

A diverse inventory is a requirement for the owners as well, with 12 products currently in production, the newest of which are a quartet of wing sauces that have yet to reach store shelves.

Malekovic said he and the Edsons decided to introduce the new products after one of their regular customers said they would be more than willing to carry a Country Bob’s wing sauce.

“We developed four sauces. We locked ourselves in the board room for about two hours to decide what flavors we wanted,” Malekovic recalled. “Then we spent the next week or so in the kitchen developing the flavors that we ended up with. It was a fun process.”

Malekovic said it was important to him and his business partners not to rest on the laurels of the manufacturer’s signature sauce, and to continue introducing new dimensions to its output.

“We decided six or seven years ago that we wanted to be a manufacturer of grocery products, condiments and seasoning, rather than just produce the All-Purpose sauce,” he said.

The Country Bob’s team hopes to introduce a new steak seasoning, barbecue rub, and two new steak sauces in the future.

Malekovic said the company’s signature sauce is presently in 35 to 40 states throughout the country, with its other products reaching another 25 to 30 states.

Established in 1982, Country Bob’s has inhabited three locations since its inception, each one larger than the last. The current location at 24000 US-51 underwent an expansion in 2020, with Malekovic saying plans are in place for another addition to the building should the company’s growth require it.
