IPANEMA OFFERS INCENTIVES TO BRING NEW BUSINESS TO FAIRIEW PARK PLAZA

Ipanema Management is offering huge incentives to bring new businesses to Centralia’s Fairview Park Plaza.

The Miami, Florida-based investment group, which acquired Fairview Park Plaza in June of 2021, will offer two years of free rent on ten-year leases at the shopping center. Businesses interested that sign a fifteen-year lease will receive an additional year free of rent.

Amanda Bellemere, property manager of Ipanema Management, said the incentives are all part of the company’s dedication the providing diverse businesses and enhanced quality in communities throughout the country.

“(Ipanema) wants to see nothing but growth,” said Bellemere, who is based in Kanas City, Missouri. “They want to bring people back to Centralia, and they want to see different types of businesses and activities being brought to the community.”

Bellemere said Ipanema has retained several tenants at the plaza over the last three years and has received several ideas from members of the community about what they would like to see in Centralia.

“We have retained several tenants that we already had here that had leases expiring,” said Bellemere. “We just resigned Peking Restaurant for another ten years, and we just resigned Schnucks. Firestone also resigned, and Cricket Wireless is moving into the main strip center on April 1.”

“We are listening to all of the residents of Centralia,” said Bellemere, who recently attended the Home & Community Expo. “We are trying to figure out what they want. So far, we have heard an apartment complex, hotels, chain restaurants, and a book store. We are looking to grow, and those are all great ideas.”

Bellemere said the plaza has several points of opportunity for potential new business, including the former Buchheit location and former movie theater at the east end of the main strip.
