Owner Benjamin Trinkle continues to expand on Rose Printing & Copies. Inc.’s longtime slogan, ‘If its printed, call Rose.’

“We can print just about anything,” said Trinkle. “We print paper products, promotional products and labels. We also do a lot of engravings and stuff like that for gifts. If you need it, we can usually get it.”

Trinkle said the only major printing service not currently offered is T-shirt printing. However, the owner said he expects that to change in 2025.

“We are starting to get into t-shirts. It’s a slow process, but hopefully [in 2025] we will be able to fully provide t-shirt printing,” Trinkle said. “I am putting a lot of investment into the equipment. I’ve got two envelope printers that I’ve bought in the last year and a half. I’ve got another machine that has a laser printer that can print full color labels and do the t-shirt transfers.”

Trinkle bought Rose Printing from Phil McDaniel in 2013, who originally opened the business out of his own garage in the early 1980s.

Operating both the original Centralia location at 125 N. Walnut, and a second location at 604 E. Main in Salem, Trinkle maintains a loyal customer base that has long trusted his   multi-faceted product.

“Most of my business comes from other business,” Trinkle said. “But I also have a lot of loyal customers that are individuals.”

Trinkle said the business had been in his life since his youth, as his mother was a former employee at the Centralia location.

“I grew up in the area, and my mom actually worked for Phil for a very long time. She probably worked for Phil for 40 years,” Trinkle explained. “So, [the business] has kind of been a part of my family, even through the family didn’t own it. As a kid I would come over and play around in the shop.”

Having owned the business now for over a decade, Trinkle said his love of Rose Printing and the print business itself has never waned.

“It’s great to keep this going. I love the print business,” he said. “I have been in it for almost 30 years myself. Whenever Phil approached me, I was more than happy to take it over. I love being a part of the community, and I love meeting people and helping them out the best I can.”

In addition to Rose Printing, Trinkle also oversees Sheild Leather, an online leather engraving service meant to create gifts for firefighters.
