BPW CELEBRATES “WOMAN OF THE YEAR” AND “BOSS OF THE YEAR” AT BUSINESS AFTER HOURS

Centralia Business and Professional Women celebrated this year’s Woman of the Year and Boss of the Year recipients at the October Business After Hours event at Heritage Woods.

Joannie Naraghi, Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church and Chaplain at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital, was named 2024 BPW Woman of the year.

Accepting her award following a presentation from BPW member Ellie McClelland, Naraghi said, “I am very proud that Centralia has embraced me, and that I’ve gotten to be a part of this community in many different realms, from working at the Sentinel all the way to now working at the hospital and being the pastor at First Presbyterian Church.”

Robyn Davis, owner off the Centralia School of Cosmetology was named 2024 BPW Boss of the Year.

Speaking on the acknowledgement of Boss of the Year, Davis said, “I was very honored and surprised, very honored,” Davis said. “I’m just so proud of my girls that have gone on to do something with their career. They just make me proud when I see them out working.”

Stephanie Aarons Dennison, band director at Centralia High School, was also presented with her award for being the Illinois Jaycees Young Person of the Year.  

The event, attended by several members of Centralia BPW, was catered by Heritage Woods.
