Representatives of the Centralia Area Historical Musuem offered updates on their mission and progress during the October luncheon of the Centralia Chamber of Commerce, for which the museum served as a first-time host.
Museum board president, Jessiycka Nix-Coleman, accompanied by executive director Mike Middleton, said the museum was planning many updates to its building, including new carpet on the second floor, as well as a new fence, awning and sign.
Coleman added that the museum is currently working on a website, improving curation methods, and putting focus on becoming more prevalent in the local and regional communities.
“We would love for you to be a member of the museum,” Coleman said to the chamber members in attendance. “To be a part of our upcoming renovations and our upcoming curations to help this museum strive and stay alive in 2025 and beyond.”
The chamber would like to thank the Centralia Area Historical Museum for hosting this month’s luncheon.
