On behalf of the IL Chamber of Commerce and the Main Street Council, I am excited to announce our next programming opportunity. This virtual programming will feature a presentation on the BUILD initiative which was introduced in the state legislature early this year, as well as a presentation from IL Chamber member JP Morgan Chase on the federal 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act and their own American Dream Initiative.
At the IL Chamber, we believe that housing is a workforce issue. With a lack of adequate and affordable housing throughout the State, there is growing concern as to the ability to attract and retain a capable and fully flushed workforce. With the promotion of both state and federal initiatives, as well as private-public partnerships, entities around the county are attempting to tackle this pressing issue.
