It's time to bring it back!! Back to fun, back to winemaker-led learning, back to basics with Wine School: Wine 101. This is a 4-week course, starting in January (17th, 24th, 31st) and ending with a private tasting and pairing dinner for the class on the evening of Wednesday, February 7th at Jerry's Grill & Bar. If you've taken this course before, there's more to learn this time too. Don't be intimidated, this is an introductory-to-intermediate class for anyone looking to learn or further their knowledge of the intricacies of tasting wine, the basics of how wine is made, how grapes are grown, terroir, wine and food pairing and wine service. We will focus on the noble grape varieties from major wine growing countries and spend a major portion of the class tasting and analyzing wines. We will taste 3-5 wines each week from various parts of the world that showcase the winemaking styles, viticulture and techniques used, and learn to identify the components of wine and why they are important. There will be plenty of information and interaction for the experienced wine drinkers as well; our goal is to have fun and be inspired to learn more about wine...because it brings people together, and we like that. Cheers!
