The Kaskaskia College Workforce Equity Initiative (WEI) program is excited to be providing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) training to local employers. This free, three-part series will focus on Why Diversity is Important to Business Growth, Why Now? and The Importance of Empowering our Workforce while Understanding the Economic and Global Impact Diversity have on Businesses. The end goal is to help you as business leaders to acquire skills to successfully thrive and hire in a world of difference. We encourage you to attend along with a member of your human resources department.
About our presenter, Dr. Akemi Bailey Haynie, she is an author, founder and president of Global Educational Consultants, Inc. Dr. Haynie has devoted her time and efforts for the past 35 years to broaden the perspective of over two million people throughout America helping them understand race relations, diversity inclusion, multicultural and equity issues. Dr. Haynie has been working with the College’s WEI program and staff as well. Training will take place at Castle Ridge in Centralia on March 2, March 30, and April 13 from 9:00 am – 11:30 am with lunch to follow. A light continental breakfast will also be available starting at 8:30 am. Space is limited to the first 30 people who register so don’t wait and grab your seat today.
