Business and Professional Women’s Week {BPW Week} is a state-wide celebration of working women, their success, and their accomplishments held the third full week of October annually.
Each year, in honor of BPW week, the Centralia Business and Professional Women’s Club calls for nominations from the community and selects honorees for Woman of the Year and Boss of the Year.
This year we are pleased to announce our Boss of the Year; Emily Owen. Emily is the Director of Programs at One Hope United in Centralia, IL. We received and outstanding amount of support nominations for Mrs. Owen. Her co-workers and those whom she supervises shouted praise for not only her professionalism and ability to think quickly and outside the box but also her kind and caring nature. Each application we received for Emily applauded her strong leadership skill along with her ability to remain positive and strong for her team.
In addition; Centralia BPW is also pleased to announce our Woman of the Year’ Luberta Lytle. Luberta is a Certified Christian Life Coach as well as an author of several books. Luberta is retired from the State of Illinois.
